First of all, none of TVET Colleges in South Africa offer any Social Work courses. You will not find TVET Colleges that offer Social Work courses – not even in the big metros such as Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban or Pretoria!
The closest TVET Colleges come in relation to Social Work courses is by offering a National Diploma in Community Health Work (Level 2–4). Now you know.
Second of all, if you want to become a registered Social Worker in South Africa, you need to complete a Bachelor of Social Work degree course at a university, not at a TVET College.

The only college that we know about, which offers a recognised Social Work degree course not even public college (TVET), but a private college offering social sciences courses The college name is the South African College of Applied Psychology (SACAP), which offers a Bachelor of Social Work degree course.
After completing a Bachelor of Social Work degree course at a university or from SACAP, you will need to register with the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP) to legally work as a Social Worker.
